Paul Harrison Obituary

Paul Allan Harrison

Paul Allan Harrison, 71, of Tiffin, passed away Wednesday, December 3, 2025, at Bridge Hospice Care Center, Findlay, following complications as a result of a fall at his home.

He was born May 20, 1954, in Fostoria, to Frank E. and June Della (Snyder) Harrison. Paul married Krista Forry, who preceded him in death August 17, 2017. He then married Jennifer Miller, June 29, 2019.

Paul is survived by his wife, Jennifer Harrison of Tiffin; children, Jeremy (Kim) Harrison of Ashland, Aaron (Kelly) Harrison of Medina, Kaylene (Christopher) Kiefer of Tiffin; and Colby, Chloe and Cambree Miller; grandchildren, Mathis and Ryland Kiefer and Lincoln and Lucille Harrison.

Paul is preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Krista Harrison; sisters, Beverly Spoerl and Carol Langford; and his grandson, Andre Harrison.

Paul was a 1972 graduate of Lakota High School and a member of St. John's United Church of Christ. He was well known for being a church organist. Paul enjoyed time spent with his grandkids.

Paul dedicated his life to the betterment of Seneca County and its surrounding communities through decades of selfless public service, civic leadership and agricultural excellence. He began his public service journey as one of the youngest township trustees in Jackson Township, where he served for 17 years. Following his 17 years as trustee, he continued to impact the region as executive director of Regional Planning for 13 years, leading vital planning initiatives and contributing to the responsible growth and development of the area until his retirement from that position. Not to shy away from service, Paul then began to serve the youth by becoming a school bus driver for Lakota and Bettsville schools for five years. He was then called again to public office when he assumed the position of Seneca County Treasurer. He served the county with diligence and integrity for a total of seven years, in addition to his governmental service. Paul served as Farm Bureau's organizational director for 12 years and continued his advocacy for agriculture on the State Farm Bureau Board for many years. He was a dedicated full-time farmer for more than 30 years and started a grain-hauling trucking company, Caples Creek Trucking. It is now operated by the second generation of the family. He officially retired from his position as Seneca County Treasurer, August 31, 2025, bringing a close to an extraordinary career marked by humility, hard work, and steadfast devotion to public service.

Funeral services will begin at 11 a.m. Monday, December 8, 2025, at St. John's United Church of Christ, Fostoria, with Pastor Amy Kinney and Pastor Tom Snyder officiating. Burial will be at St. John's Church Cemetery. Visitations will be from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Sunday, December 7, 2025, at Harrold-Floriana Funeral Home, Fostoria, and one hour prior to services Monday, at the church.

Memorials can be made to Humane Society of Seneca County or Henderson Settlement in Frakes, Kentucky.
