Paul Casebolt Obituary

Paul "Casey" Casebolt

Paul "Casey" Casebolt, 88, of Findlay, passed away peacefully Saturday, Aug. 24, 2024, at Birchaven Retirement Village in Findlay.

He was born Sept. 6, 1935, in Oberlin, to Robert Douglas and Lucille Isenberger Casebolt.

He was a veteran, serving with U.S. Marine Corp. After returning home, he moved to Chicago, Illinois to work at O'Hare International Airport for American Airlines. Casey moved back to Ohio in 1969 and attended and graduated from University of Findlay before starting his 26-year career as Print Shop Manager at Blanchard Valley Health System. Following retirement in 2000, he was a devoted volunteer of Blanchard Valley Health Foundation. Casey would often ride his bike or walk in weather of all kinds from home to his volunteer location where he was always welcomed with a cup of coffee and the morning newspaper.

Casey was an avid reader of history, enthusiastic traveler to places near and far, and always explored and expressed interest in the world around him. He was surrounded during his life with many caring companions including Doyne Frommer, Charlotte Ballard, and Sandy Spitzer.

Casey was preceded in death by his parents; and two brothers, Hugh William Casebolt and Ralph Casebolt, PhD.

Since Casey, like his parents, donated his body to the Anatomical Gift Program at Wright State University, there will be no visitation or funeral.

Memorials may be made to Blanchard Valley Health Foundation.

Paul lived close to me and I saw his History Book Collection which was kept upstairs in bedroom on shelving all organized the way he wanted them. Biggest Collection of History Books I ever saw.
