Pamela Shumaker

Pamela Shumaker, 69, of North Baltimore, passed away Thursday, February 6, 2025. Born October 30, 1955, Pamela's life was one of warmth and connection, deeply rooted in her family and community.

Pamela is survived by her loving husband, Steven Shumaker; sons, Jeremi and Jason Shumaker; daughter, Staci Smith and her husband, Ben Smith; grandchildren, Shalynn Gonzalez, Ben Smith Jr., Angel Smith, Adam Smith, Natasha Heidel, Amber Shumaker, and Jacob Brazie; and 11 great-grandchildren. She also leaves behind her brother, Mervin Greg VanAtta.

Her passing was preceded by her parents, Mervin (Pete) and Opal VanAtta; her brother, Jesse (Al) VanAtta; and her sister, Dolores Oates.

Pamela's life was marked by her dedication to her family, the joy she found in her grandchildren, and the love she shared with her extended family and friends. She will be remembered for her kindness, nurturing spirit, and ability to make everyone around her feel cherished.
