Noden Mohney Obituary
Noden Russell Mohney, 81, of Perrysburg, passed away peacefully Monday, Nov. 20, 2023, at Hospice of Northwest Ohio in Perrysburg.
He was born Nov. 7, 1942, in Rimersburg, Pennsylvania, the son of Curnel J. and Bess E. (Sebring) Mohney. Russell married Karen L. (Shelley) in May, 1967, and she preceded him in death in 2022.
Russell was a Clarion High School graduate and attended Anderson University where he earned his bachelor's degree. He worked at Marathon Oil Company as a Computer Analyst and retired with over 30 years of service. Russell also began assisting with the Boy Scouts when his son, Duane, entered scouts. In his spare time, he volunteered with tax preparation, enjoyed wood working, loved to bike ride, and was an avid Ohio State Buckeyes and Pittsburgh Steelers fan.
Russell is survived by his son, Duane (Lynn) Mohney of Maynard, Massachusetts; daughters, Andrea (Doug) Myers of Perrysburg and Lora Leigh Mohney of Galloway; five beloved grandchildren, Brayden, Claire, and Ethan Myers, all of Perrysburg, and Caleb and Kira Mohney, both of Maynard Maryland; two sisters, Francie Mohney and Maxine Mohney; and many nieces and nephews.
He was also preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Charles and Butch Mohney; and in-laws, Paul and Louise Shelley.
Visitation for friends and family will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 28, 2023, until the time of Russell's funeral at 12 p.m. at HUFFORD FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 1500 Manor Hill Rd., Findlay, 419-422-1500. Pastor Michael Wise will officiate. Interment will be private at Maple Grove Cemetery.
