Nancy C. Sponsler

Nancy C. Sponsler, 86, of North Baltimore, passed away Thursday, July 10, 2025. She was born in Lakewood, June 3, 1939, to George and Katherine Maher. Nancy married John O. Sponsler November 4, 1967, and he survives along with a daughter, Marie Sponsler of Johnstown and son, Ned (Tracy) Sponsler of Bluffton. She is also survived by her brother, Dan Maher of Tennessee; and grandchildren, Phoebe Richards, Charlie Richards, and Aidan Sponsler.

Nancy was preceded in death by her parents; stepmother, Margaret Maher; and sister, Sheri Guzik.

Prior to moving to North Baltimore, Nancy worked for National City Bank in Cleveland. She was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church.

Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 11 a.m. Monday, July 14, 2025, at Holy Family Catholic Church, North Baltimore, where family will receive friends starting at 9:30 a.m. until time of service. Rev. Art Niewiadowski will officiate. Burial will follow at Maplewood Cemetery.

Memorial contribu-tions can be made in memory of Nancy to Holy Family Catholic Church, 115 E. Cherry St., North Baltimore. Arrangements have been entrusted to SMITH-CRATES FUNERAL HOME.
