Morgan D. Briley, 78, of Marseilles, passed away on Monday, February 9, 2026.
Visitation will be held from 9 to 10 a.m. on Friday, February 13 at Seals-Campbell Funeral Home in Marseilles. A rosary service will be held at 10 a.m. at the funeral home. A Mass of Christian burial will follow with Fr. Ryan Mattingly officiating. Burial will be in Sample Cemetery in Morris.
Morgan was born on April 18, 1947, in Metropolis, IL, to Willis D. and Mayselle (Upton) Briley. In 1979, he married Sandra L. Bean of Traverse City, MI who survives.
Morgan was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Marseilles. He was employed by Days Inn in Morris. He enjoyed TV, movies, recording, collecting, and smoking his pipe. Morgan enjoyed being a homebody and was a night owl.
He is survived by his wife, Sandra; his children, Mary (Tom) Pazur and Robert Briley; his grandson, Damien King; and his sister-in-law, Rita Briley.
Morgan is preceded in death by his parents; his son, Justin D.W. Briley; and a brother, Lonnie.
