Mildred Basinger Obituary
Mildred Ruth "Millie" Basinger, 94, of Findlay, passed away peacefully Thursday, Feb. 1, 2024, at her home surrounded by her family.
She was born March 23, 1929, in Alvada, to Waldo R. and Aurelia Alma (Yost) Fox. She married Ernest C. Basinger on Oct. 29, 1949, and he preceded her in death in 1987.
Millie loved spending time with her family including her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She retired from RCA after many years. She enjoyed water volleyball and water exercises at the YMCA. She spent many hours playing Mexican Train with her Y friends. Millie traveled extensively and attended First Baptist Church. Most of all, Millie enjoyed her condo and her luminated candles.
She is survived by her daughters, Sharon (Robert) Freed, Karen (Keith) Fenstermaker, Marlene Basinger, and Connie (Danny) Fagan; grandchildren, Darcee (Curt) Adams, RJ Freed, Dustin (Drew) Freed, Brian (Melissa) Fenstermaker, Nicole (Brandon) Ewing, Emily (Jeff) Wagner, Jennifer (Matt) Mutchler, Jason (Amanda) Fagan, and Brittany (Matt) Heater; great-grandchildren, Taylor Adams, Addyson Adams, Trysta Adams, Riley Freed, Grayson Freed, Jacqueline Fenstermaker, Kipp Ewing, Kassidy Ewing, Kiersten Ewing, Trent Wagner, Dane Wagner, Aibileen Wagner, Briggs Wagner, Zeke Wagner, Pearl Wagner, Quinn Mutchler, Emery Mutchler, Noah Fagan, Parker Fagan, Colton Heater, and Cooper Heater; sister, Linda Kuhn; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Millie was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and siblings, Peggy Law, Donald Fox, Donna Gaertner, Robert Fox, and Wanda Jean Deitemeyer.
All services for Mildred will be private.
COLDREN-CRATES FUNERAL HOME, 205 W. Sandusky Street, Findlay, has been entrusted with Mildred's care. Burial will occur at Knollcrest Memory Gardens with Mildred's nephew, Dennis Gaertner, officiating.

Hope it helps to know that beyond good-bye there is a beautiful, peaceful place where memories live forever. Millie loved playing Mexican Train with the Y gals and I know she will find friends to continue playing the game.
