Michael Corder Obituary

Michael "Mike" Corder

Michael "Mike" Corder, 71, passed away peacefully Thursday, March 9, 2023, at home in Davenport, Florida.

Mike was born Jan. 26, 1952, at Blanchard Valley Hospital, to Harold L Corder Jr. and Letha F Corder. He was raised in Findlay and graduated from Findlay High School in 1970. He is also part of the Facebook Class of '70 where he loved following everything posted by class members.

Mike played football and ran track in school. He loved playing golf, fishing, bowling, and singing karaoke. He was a die-hard University of Michigan and Dallas Cowboy fan. The U of M loyalty made for a lot of fun football rivalry at home with his wife, Cathy, who is an Ohio State alum! He loved cooking and watching the Food Network looking for any new recipe to try. Mike was affectionately referred to as Dad, Pop, or Pops by his six children, Susan, TJ (Jessica), Greg (Kate), Tiffany (Jake), Shannon (Eric), and Eric (Erin). He loved bragging about all of them. You could not find a prouder dad than Mike!

Mike was known as "Grandpa Mac" to 13 grandkids that he loved telling his friends about. He was very animated in some of his discussions about what they were doing. He couldn't stop talking about them. Each of them had a special place in his heart. They are Fhalyshia (Drew), Benjamin, Oliver, Ezra, Linley, Asher, Hailey, Breonna, Ely, Jake, Brayden, Tyler, and Finn.

Mike's brother, Neal, lives in Findlay as does his aunt, Delores. Mike has numerous cousins living throughout the United States and in Nassau.

Mike will be remembered by his golf buddies as the guy they always wanted on their team.

Mike requested there be no service and to be cremated.
