Merel Hartman Obituary

Merel Hartman

Merel Hartman Jr., 62, of McCutchenville, passed away Thursday, July 17, 2025, at his residence.

Merel was born January 12, 1963, in Bowling Green, to Earmae (Clark) Hartman and (the late) Merel E. Hartman Sr. He married Michelle (Chaney) in McCutchenville on a beautiful fall day, October 31, 2020, and she survives in McCutchenville.

Other survivors include his daughters, Barbra Hartman of Findlay and Lydia Hartman of Bowling Green; his grandchildren, Jayme, Jaxson, and Onyx; and his brother, Bill Hartman of North Baltimore.

Merel worked as a production worker and was an extremely dedicated Browns and Ohio State fan. He had a love of gardening and Bigfoot. His most cherished memories were spending time with his family and cats.

Merel was preceded in death by his father.

Celebration of Life for Merel begins at 1 p.m. Saturday, August 9, 2025, at Van Buren Lake. Engle-Shook Funeral Home & Crematory in Tiffin is assisting family with their arrangements.

Memorial contribu-tions may be made to a charity of donor's choice.
