Mary Thomas Obituary
Mary Ruth Thomas, 96, of rural Arlington, passed away Saturday, April 6, 2024, at her residence.
She was born Nov. 6, 1927, in Madison Twp., Hancock Co., to George William and Isabelle Mary (Frederick) Wolber. She married Harold Thomas on Christmas Day of 1948 and he preceded her in death June 8, 1989.
She is survived by a son, David A. Thomas; daughter, Jane (John) Hicks; three grandchildren, Carrie (Michael) Cox, Andrew (Brandi) Heacock, and Jacob (Alexa) Heacock; two stepgrandchildren, Stephanie (Rodney) Kettels and Stacey (Michael) Waltz; six great-grandchildren, Isabella, Brady and Cora Cox, and Jillian, Ethan, and Claire Heacock; and four stepgreat-grandchildren, Alyson and Abygail Kettels and Katelynn and Mikey Waltz.
Mary was also preceded in death by her parents; and siblings, William Frederick Wolber and Carol Wolber.
She was a graduate of Arlington High School and retired from Triplett Corporation following 30 years of service. She was the oldest living member of Good Hope Lutheran Church.
Mary's funeral will be 11 a.m. Friday, April 12, 2024, at Good Hope Lutheran Church, 300 S. Main Street, Arlington, with Pastor Steve Ramsey officiating. Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. Thursday, April 11, 2024, at CRATES FUNERAL HOME, Arlington, and 10-11 a.m. Friday at the church. Interment will follow the service at Eagle Creek Cemetery.
Memorials can be made to Good Hope Lutheran Church or Bridge Hospice, 15100 Birchaven Lane, Findlay.
