Mary "Lucy" Rader

Mary "Lucy" Rader, 81, of Ft. Pierce, Florida, and formerly of North Baltimore, died Sunday, Jan. 8, 2023.

She was born Jan. 5, 1942, in St. Albans, West Virginia, to the late Walter and Cathelene (Eplin) Casdorph. She married Darrell "Dean" Rader and he preceded her in death.

Lucy is survived by her sons, Walter (Cricket, deceased) Rader of Ft. Pierce, Florida, and James (Cindy) Rader of North Baltimore; daughter, Debra Martin of Ft. Pierce, Florida; brothers, Tom (Becky) Casdorph, Kenny (Cathy) Casdorph, Terry Casdorph, and Donald Casdorph; sister, Carol Brown; grandchildren, Dusty, Jessica, Michael, Elizabeth, and Regina Rader, Kelly Rader, Delneta Eaken, Desiree Rader, Lexi Rader, James Rader Jr., Darrel Rader, Candy Maushund, Jenny Hosler, and Samantha Kittle; and several great-grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by her sons, William Rader and Billy Rader; brothers, Robert "Gene" Casdorph, Ronald Casdorph, and Charlie Casdorph; and sisters, Rose Beck and Laura Chaffin.

Lucy retired from Norbalt Rubber, North Baltimore, and was a member of Fraternal Order of Eagles #2633, North Baltimore.

Lucy's funeral will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 18, 2023, at SMITH-CRATES FUNERAL HOME, North Baltimore, with Pastor Bill Cook officiating. Burial will be at Ten Mile Cemetery.

Visitation will be 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 17, 2023, at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to charity of the donor's choice. Online condolences may be expressed at www.smithcrates.com.

I ALWAYS had such great fun with Aunt Lucy, her and Uncle Dean were always taking us to flea markets and letting me just always be myself and I love them both so much!!! Now they are both back together and with dad and Grandma and everyone else... Gone but never forgotten my heart is saddened but I know you will forever be watching over us all... Till we meet again Aunt Lucy all my love...PLEASE HUG MY DAD FOR ME ..IT HAS BEEN SO LONG SINCE I HAVE!! I LOVE YOU!!!
