Mary A. Oxley

Mary A. Oxley, 83, of McComb, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 21, 2024, at Bridge Hospice Care Center, Findlay.

Mary was born June 18, 1940, in Hoytville, to Henry and Francis (Mawer) Schreerer. She married Ted Fetters in 1958 and they later divorced. She then married George "Garver" Oxley in 1990 and he preceded her in death March 18, 1997.

Mary is survived by her son, Tracy (Markeeta) Fetters; grandchildren, Cindy Brazzola, Cavin Christian, Christine Brooker, Chandra Christian, and Tony Fetters; great-grandchild, Teagan Fetters; and siblings, Nancy Scheidler, Sally McHaffe, Donna Gordon, and Betty Long.

She was also preceded in death by her parents; and siblings, Mick Scheerer, Dina Bowers, Susan Sutton, Margie Bibler, Lois George, and Norma Oman.

Mary was a 1958 graduate of Jackson Township (Hoytville) Schools and worked as a legal secretary and was a vibrant individual who enjoyed cruises, golf, and bowling. She was known for her great sense of humor and was adored as a favorite aunt by many. Her caring nature and warm personality touched the lives of all who knew her.

Mary's graveside service will be 11 a.m. Saturday, March 2, 2024, at Bethel (Ten-Mile) Cemetery.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Hanneman Funeral Home, McComb.

Memorial contributions may be made in Mary's honor to a veteran's charity of the donor's choice.
