Mary Lou Logsdon

Mary Lou Logsdon, 96, of Fostoria, passed away at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday Aug. 2, 2022, at Good Shepherd Home, Fostoria.

She was born Jan. 20, 1926, in Alvada, to the late Edward Joseph and Florence E. (Schultz) Lucius. She married Harold Louis Logsdon on June 28, 1947, at St. Wendelin Catholic Church, Fostoria, and he preceded her in death April 1, 2017.

Surviving is a son, Edward L. (Kimberly) Logsdon of Fostoria; daughter, Kathy E. (Michael) Hall of Michigan; granddaughter, Lyndsay (Michael) Kieselbach; and stepgrandson, David (Kelly) Smith. She was also preceded in death by brothers, Robert, James, Carl, and Cyril Lucius; and sisters, Alma Lucius, Shirley Brickner, and Norma Black.

Mary Lou was a homemaker and member of St. Wendelin Catholic Church and its Rosary-Altar Society. She was also a member of Catholic Ladies of Columbia and was a 1944 graduate of St. Wendelin High School. She enjoyed volunteering at Fostoria Community Hospital for many years.

Mary Lou will be remembered as a very cheerful, stylish, and generous person. She always wanted to make sure that everyone was taken care of and having fun.

Visitation is 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Friday, Aug. 5, 2022, at Hoening & Son Funeral Home, 133 W. Tiffin St., Fostoria, Ohio, 44830, where a Vigil will take place at 7:30 p.m.

Mass of Christian burial is 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 6, 2022, at St. Wendelin Catholic Church with the Very Rev. Joseph Poggemeyer presiding. Burial will follow at St. Wendelin Parish Cemetery.
