Mary Ann Hermiller

Mary Ann Hermiller, 83, of Ottawa, passed away at 3 p.m., Wednesday, September 24, 2025, at Mercy Health - St. Rita's Medical Center, Lima. She was born October 28, 1941, in Helena, Ohio, to the late William and Victoria (VanCompernolle) Bowser. On September 17, 1966, she married John F. Hermiller, who survives in Ottawa.

She is also survived by five children, Stephen (Cindy) Hermiller of New Baltimore, Michigan, John T. (Nikki) Hermiller of Westerville, Daphne Hermiller of Powell, David (Tina) Hermiller of Cheney, Washington, and Amy (Jason) Destein of Wexford, Pennsylvania; six grandchildren, Katherine Hermiller, Ian Michael Thomas, Kirsten Hermiller, Bo Hermiller, Bella Destein and Zachary Destein; and two sisters, Anna Marie (Robert) Amlin and Dorothy Carp, both of Fostoria.

In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by a brother-in-law, Edward Carp.

Mary Ann was a homemaker and also worked in banking. She was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Glandorf. Mary Ann was an avid fan of Ottawa-Glandorf Titans and had formerly served as the treasurer of Ottawa-Glandorf Band Boosters. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

Funeral Mass will begin at 10:30 a.m. Monday, September 29, 2025, at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Glandorf, with Fr. Matt Keller officiating. Burial will follow at the church cemetery. Visitation will be 2-8 p.m. Sunday, September 28, 2025, and one hour prior to Mass Monday at LOVE FUNERAL HOME, Ottawa.
