Marshall David Creighton

Marshall David Creighton, 86, graduated from this life Tuesday, Nov. 21, 2023.

He was born Jan. 5, 1937, to Marshall and Oleta Creighton, who preceded him in death. Dave and Sharron Moninger were married on a hilltop in Greene County, Pennsylvania, in June, 1956.

Dave was a farmer early in his life, then finished his degree at Findlay College. He was an athlete through high school and college, playing football and basketball. After college graduation, Dave went to work for the college as an administrator and registrar. He later worked for Hancor, MacDonald Supply, and then finished his life work owning and operating Hancock Lumber Service, his true passion, as a sawyer. Dave and Sharron had a passion for children and were foster parents for many small children in the 60's and 70's. Dave was a true artist with hardwoods and never met a tree he didn't love. As a member of The Unitarian Church, Dave was very active and thoroughly loved his church family.

Dave leaves behind his wife, Sharron; daughter, Kim Methena (Tracy); two sons, Mark (Kathy) Creighton and Stephan (Dani Meeker) Creighton. He cherished his grandchildren, Chelsea, Dustin Michael, Christopher, Connor, Dustin Lee, and Chase. He was also blessed to have two great-grandchildren, Nash David and Beau Joseph. His cousin, Kent Brannan, was his buddy and a true blessing for Dave. A granddaughter, Gretchen, preceded him in death, along with a brother, William, and sister, Elizabeth.

A private family service will be at a later date.
