Marilyn A. Pratt

Marilyn Ann (Bame) Pratt, 83, of Findlay, passed away peacefully at 1:40 p.m. Friday, Sept. 22, 2023, at Blanchard Valley Hospital, Findlay.

Marilyn was born April 30, 1940, in Bluffton, to George and Dolores (Baker) Bame and grew up on a farm in the Jenera area.

She went to school at Trinity Lutheran School and Cory-Rawson High School where she graduated in 1958. She attended college at Ohio Northern, Ada, and graduated from Bowling Green State University. She taught school throughout the county and really enjoyed being a remedial reading teacher at Trinity Lutheran School. She was a life-long member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Jenera and Northwest Ohio Preservation Society and enjoyed sewing and vacationing in Florida.

She married Warren Paul Pratt on Aug. 25, 1961, and he survives. She is also survived by a daughter, Deborah Lussier of Findlay; son, Bryan Pratt of Findlay; granddaughter, Hannah Lussier; sister, Carolyn Harvey of Findlay; and sister-in-law, Karen Bame of Marion.

She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Kevin Pratt; and brother, Dennis Bame.

Visitation will be 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 27, 2023, at CRATES FUNERAL HOME, Arlington, and 10-11 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 28, 2023, at Trinity Lutheran Church, Jenera. Marilyn's funeral will be 11 a.m. Thursday at the church with Pastor Matthew Nowak officiating. Interment will follow at the church cemetery.
