Marilyn Jean Orians

Marilyn Jean Orians, 91, of Carey, passed away Saturday, March 22, 2025, at Bridge Hospice Care Center, Findlay.

Marilyn was born November 7, 1933 in Carey to the late Marcus and Emma (Orians) Schlachter. She married Ralph H. Orians on June 6, 1953, at Our Lady of Consolation Church, and he preceded her in death April 24, 1987. Marilyn is survived by her children, Scott (Debra) Orians, Steven Orians, Sharon (Rick) Boes, Leonard (Diane) Orians and Dwayne (Yvette) Orians; grandchildren, Sandra (Mark) Kinyon, Marcus Orians, Casey (Keith) Weinandy, Kristi (Aaron) Luzader, Shelly Van Horn, Ethan (Kaitlyn) Orians, Devon Orians and Colton Orians, Holli (Pete) Jarrett, Jon Durst, Brian (Alicia) Durst, Tarah Durst, Kelly Blair and Jason Ritter; 20 great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandson; and a sister, Erlene Orians.

She was preceded in death by her grandson, Trent King; and a sister, Peggy Myers.

Marilyn was a 1951 graduate of Carey High School and was a faithful member of Our Lady of Consolation Church in Carey, where she was a member of the Altar Rosary Society. Marilyn enjoyed going to garage sales and watching John Wayne movies, was a tremendous seamstress, and loved life. More than anything, Marilyn always had a positive and cheerful attitude. Marilyn loved her family and cherished every moment she spent with them.

Visitation for Marilyn will be from 4-7 p.m. Tuesday, March 25, 2025, at Stombaugh-Batton & Snyder Funeral Home, Carey.

Marilyn's Funeral Mass will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 26, 2025, at Our Lady of Consolation Church, Carey, with the Rev. Tom Merrill, OFM, Conv, officiating. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery, Salem Township.

Memorial contributions may be made in Marilyn's honor to the church for Masses, Wyandot County EMS, OLC Schools or Bridge Hospice.
