Margie L. Heistand Wilkins

Margie Lou Heistand Wilkins, 88, went to her eternal home to be with her Lord on Thursday, Jan. 12, 2023, at The Heritage.

She was born July 4, 1934, in Findlay, to William Commadore Heistand and Pheba Dora Grace Wasbro Heistand.

Margie was a graduate of Findlay High School and went to work at Marathon Oil Company after graduating. She left this job upon marring Stanley R. Wilkins on June 10, 1956. Margie and Stanley had two sons, Keith Allen and Brian Eugene. After raising her boys, she joined her husband working at the family business, Riverside Glass Company, as bookkeeper. Margie was a lifelong member of College Church of God. She also was a 50-year member of Beta Sigma Phi, IOTAMU chapter. She loved the outdoors and spent many hours with her husband at their woods south of Arlington.

Margie was a faithful servant of God and loved her family.

Margie is survived by her husband, Stanley; two sons, Keith (Peggy) and Brian (Heather) Wilkins; beloved five grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her infant daughter, Lori Jane; mother and father; and siblings, Ralph, William, Reva, and Viola.

Friends and family may visit 11 a.m. - 12 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 18, 2023, at HUFFORD FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 1500 Manor Hill Rd., Findlay, (419-422-1500). Margie's funeral will be 12 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home with Pastor Cathy Davis officiating. Interment will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery.
