Lucille Dunn
Lucille Dunn, 88, of Findlay, entered eternal life peacefully at her home Sunday, July 3, 2022, surrounded by family.
She was born Lucille Marple on April 5, 1934, in Cincinnati to her loving and respected parents, William and Cora (Pennington) Marple, who she has reunited in their heavenly home.
She married Gerald Pierce in 1953 in Biloxi, Mississippi. They had four children and divorced and he is deceased.
She then married Fred Dunn on Jan. 29, 1977, in
Monroe, Michigan, and he preceded her in death July 2, 2000.
Lucille was the most loving and selfless mother to Karen Pierce of
El Mirage, Arizona, Mark (Valana) Pierce of Findlay, Tamara (Fred) Wright of North Baltimore, and Sharon (Doug) Kuenzli of
Helena, Montana; stepmother of Chris Dunn of
Colorado Springs, Colorado, Samuel Dunn of
Brentwood, Tennessee, and Joe (Traci) Dunn of Findlay; grandmother to Christine (Shane) Pierce-Blair of Findlay, Heather (Justin) Waite of Findlay, Elizabeth (Russ) Hines of Pleasantville, Daniel (Brittany) Pierce of Findlay, Steven Stallard of Findlay, Bryan (Megan) Stallard of New Albany, John "JT" Stallard of Lubbock, Texas, Nathan Kuenzli of Beulah, North Dakota, Morgan (Dylan) Hambright of
Bend, Oregon, and Alex Kuenzli of
Bozeman, Montana; great-grandmother of Sydney Davis, Makenzie Durst, Everett (Kourtney) Waite, Laurel Waite, Pierce Waite, Brayden Hines, Keegan Hines, Hudson Hines, Jaelynn Pierce, Chloe Pierce, Bexley Pierce, Bryli Stallard, Maci Stallard, Karli Stallard, Anika Stallard, Isla Stallard, and Nash Stallard; great-great grandmother to Brooklyn Waite; stepgrandmother to Brian Dunn, Kyle Dunn, Kevin Dunn, Nate May of Carey, and Jared (Cheri) May; and stepgreat-grandmother to Alex May, Zeke May, and Carson May.
Lucille was a sister to John Marple, David Marple, and Carol Ann Morgan, all of Cincinnati. She has a brother-in-law, Dan Pierce, of
Carmichael, California.
Her happiest moments in life were spent with the people she loved. She was dedicated to checking in with her family daily and always extended generosity with all her heart.
Lucille was a veteran of United States Air Force before starting her family as a homemaker in California. She then relocated back to be near her family in Cincinnati and started her career at U.S. Postal Service. She retired in Findlay from the U.S. Postal Service in 1995.
Lucille was preceded in death by daughter-in-law, Sherri Pierce; siblings and spouses, Helen and Bill Criscillis, Robert and Millie Marple, Charles and Angie Marple, Jeffrey Marple, Billie Marple, Jacklyn Marple, Lana Marple, and Bob Morgan; nieces, Donna Criscillis, Debbie Morgan, and Donita Marple Hill.
Graveside services will be 12 p.m. Friday, July 8, 2022, at Maple Grove Cemetery, Findlay, with Bryan Stallard officiating. Full military rites will be conducted by Hancock County Veterans Memorial Squad at the cemetery. A celebration of life luncheon will follow at Findlay Amvets.
