Lois Mae Wheeler

Lois Mae Wheeler, 92, of Findlay, passed away Sunday, July 23, 2023.

She was born April 6, 1931, in Findlay, to William H. and Mildred (Wolfe) Wheeler.

Lois is survived by her sister, Yvonne Prosser (William, deceased); nieces, Debbie (Tom) Lewis and Cathy (Doug) Wilcox; great-niece, Ashley (Derek) Brauneller; great-nephews, Chase Wilcox and Justin Wilcox; and great-great-nieces, Lily and Ivy Brauneller.

She was preceded in death by her parents; sister and brother-in-law, Marilyn (Leonard) Hobbs; and brother-in-law, William D. Prosser.

Lois was a life-long member of First Christian Church. Following her graduation from Findlay High School, Lois worked as a bookkeeper for San-A-Pure Dairy until they closed their Findlay office. After that, she worked as a cashier for K-Mart where she was employee of the month several times, working there for many years. Lois was also the caregiver for her mother for several years until the time of her mother's death. She also babysat for her two nephews. Lois was a kind-hearted person who helped out anyone who needed it.

The family would like to extend our sincere thanks you for all the care given to Lois during her stay at The Heritage. They would also like to thank the hospice nurse, Jackie, caregiver Megan, social worker, Marsha and Chaplains, Cathy and Paige.

A private family graveside service will be at Maple Grove Cemetery.

Arrangements have been entrusted to COLDREN-CRATES FUNERAL HOME, Findlay.

Memorial contributions can be made in memory of Lois to Bridge Hospice.
