Lesley Joan Moses

Lesley Joan Moses, 82, of Findlay, passed peacefully away Wednesday, Aug. 30, 2023.

Lesley was born March 29, 1941, in Lakewood, to Raymond and Evelyn (Byal) Gedeon. Lesley married Carl Glenn Moses on April 30, 1960, and he preceded her in death.

She is survived by two children, Bradley (Kim) Moses and Laura (Greg) Julien; eight grandchildren, Michael (Elena) Moses, April (Adam) Gasper, Christopher Moses, Joseph (Carter) Moses, Alexis Julien, John (Mariel) Moses, Carl Matthew Julien, and Matthew Moses; sister-in-law, Carolyn Amrine; two great-grandchildren, Emma and Eli Gasper; eight nieces and nephews; dog, Katie; and many friends.

Lesley was an avid bridge player and enjoyed spending time playing with her friends. She worked at JCPenney for a number of years before fulfilling her dream of opening a used bookstore, The Book Nook, in Findlay. The store was her passion and grew into not only books but comics also. She enjoyed traveling to comic conventions and taking courses in writing. She spent many years happily writing plots and chapters of books, to put together into a novel. Her favorite pastime was reading and enjoyed talking and recommending books to family, friends, and neighbors. Lesley was a member of St. Michael Catholic church and enjoyed attending Mass and serving communion.

Visitation will be 3-6 p.m. Friday, Sept. 8, 2023, with a rosary prayer service from 6-7 p.m. at COLDREN-CRATES FUNERAL HOME, Findlay. Lesley's funeral will be 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 9, 2023, at the funeral home. Burial will follow at St. Michael's Catholic Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
