Keith Elvin Williams

Keith Elvin Williams, 73, of Carey, died unexpectedly of a massive heart attack Tuesday, June 11, 2024, in the emergency room of Mercy Health - Tiffin Hospital.

Keith was born Jan. 28, 1951, in Tiffin, to Glenn and Bernice (Ruehle) Williams. He married Judi Kromer on April 24, 1971, at Basilica of Our Lady of Consolation Parish and she survives in Carey.

Keith is also survived by his daughter, Mindy (Derek) Sidor of Carey; three grandchildren, Owen, Oliver, and Annabelle; and brother, Neil Williams of Kenton.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and brother, Wallace Williams.

Keith graduated from Carey High School in 1969. He was an avid reader and an accomplished woodworker, featuring many of his woodworking skills at the Gray Mare in Carey. Keith was very active in his grandchildren's lives, including attending sports and school events.

Keith was a member of Basilica of Our Lady of Consolation Parish. He worked for National Lime and Stone Company in Carey for 20 years and retired from Heritage Nursing Home in Findlay in 2012. Keith was a member of Carey Lodge F&AM #420, where he served as Worshipful Master, DeMolay Commander #9, and Zenobia Shrine of Toledo, where he was a past president of the Findlay Clowns Unit. Keith was also a member of the Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite of the Valley of Toledo.

Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. Thursday, June 13, 2024, at Stombaugh-Batton & Snyder Funeral Home, 225 W. Findlay St., Carey, Ohio, 43316. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Friday, June 14, 2024, at Basilica of Our Lady of Consolation Parish with the Rev. Tom Merrill OFM Conv., officiating. Interment will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery.

The family requests no flowers, but instead asks memorial contributions to be made to Dorcas Carey Public Library.
