Karen Sue Simons

Karen Sue Simons, 73, of Findlay, passed away Wednesday, March 13, 2024, at her home.

Karen was born Dec. 9, 1950, to King (Bill) Gatchell and Sheila (Beltz) Gorrell. Karen married the love of her life, Harvey M Simons, on Aug. 18, 1979.

Karen is survived by her sisters, Marsha (Bradd McConnell) Barber, Teresa (Dan) Moyer, Linda (Mike) Kuhlman, and Brenda (Doug) Marshall; stepchildren, Ronnie (Tracey) Simons, Kevin (Maegan) Simons, and Diane Lovejoy; niece, Sara (Jesse) Augustine; nephews, Ryan (Meghan) Kuhlman and Avery Marshall; nine grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and many extended nieces and nephews that she loved dearly.

She is preceded in death by her husband; and parents.

Karen retired from Columbia Gas after working for 45 years. She was loved and cared for exceptionally well by her dear friends, Sharon and Bryan Burkin. The most important thing to Karen was spending time with her family and friends.

The family wishes for Karen to be remembered for her giant heart, her loving spirit, and for doing everything HER way.

Visitation will be 2-4 p.m. and 5-7 p.m. Monday, March 18, 2024, at COLDREN-CRATES FUNERAL HOME, 205 W. Sandusky Street, Findlay. Karen's funeral will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, March 19, 2024, at the funeral home with Pastor Greg Fox officiating. Burial will be at a later date at Maple Grove Cemetery, Findlay.
