Karen McFadden Obituary

Karen McFadden

Karen McFadden, 86, from Findlay, passed away peacefully Friday, Dec. 1, 2023, at her home with her family by her side.

She was born May 5, 1937, in Robinson, Illinois, the second child of Hugh and Marie Duncan.

Karen is survived by four children, Deborah (Dana) Aaron of Wayland, Massachusetts, and Kathy Wefler, Kristie Billmaier, and Todd (Phil) McFadden, all of Findlay; six grandchildren, Adam Wefler, Kyle (Melissa) Wefler, Melissa Billmaier, Isaac (Katelyn) Aaron, Ethan Aaron, and Morgan Billmaier; eight great-grandchildren, McKenzie (deceased), Ian, Sahalie, Summit, Henley, Beric, Nora, and Aubrie; and special niece, Lee Ann Simpson.

Karen was preceded in death by her brother, Larry Duncan.

Karen started as a housewife and then worked in residential and commercial real estate, transitioning into renovating properties including houses and Great Scot stores throughout Ohio - where she was Vice President of Diversified Maintenance and served on the Board.

Her family and friends will remember Karen as smart, persistent, and a trail-blazer who helped everyone become their best. She knew how to motivate and raise up the people around her. She was the voice of confidence as a coach and an exuberant fan during athletic competitions. Karen was the support in life that everyone could count on.

Karen was a good, honest, and hardworking person who lived life well and filled ever day with a reason to wake up and get going. This legacy can be seen throughout her family who try to uphold the standard of character that she set and lived every day of her life.

With appreciation, gratitude, and unbounding love, may you now rest in peace – in Heaven.
