Julia Ellen Davis

Julia Ellen Davis, 64, beloved wife of Dino Davis and loving mother of Haley Reese, Ty Davis, and Annie Davis, passed away Monday, July 3, 2023, in the loving company of her husband and children.

Julia was born July 6, 1958, in Bowling Green, to Henry (Butch) and Dona Krebs. She graduated from Van Buren High School and then graduated from Bowling Green State University with a degree in education. Julia loved teaching. She taught English at her alma mater, Van Buren, for nine years, and then taught English another 20 years at Liberty Junior School in the West Chester Lakota Local School District. She finished her career as a Mentor Teacher and Curriculum Specialist for West Chester Lakota. These were 41 years that she truly cherished.

Julia loved to sew baby blankets for all the new babies in the family and work in her flower gardens. Family and friends were her greatest joy though. She spoke of how grateful she was for so many friends from all of her walks of life. To Julia, family was everything. Her family is very close and it meant the world to her.

In addition to her husband of 34 years, three children, and parents, Julia is the dear grandmother of Rae Reese, Walker Reese, and Lainey Reese, and cherished sister of Christopher Krebs, Rodney Krebs, Melanie Elliott, Ann Fritz, Janel Bly, and Rachelle Wunder. Julia is also survived by numerous in-laws, nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.

Visitation will be 10 a.m. - 12 p.m. Monday, July 17, 2023, at Hodapp Funeral Homes, 6410 Cincinnati-Dayton Road, Liberty Township, Ohio, 45044. Julia's memorial service will be 12 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. The family welcomes anyone wishing to speak or share their fond memories of Julia.
