Joyce Wood Obituary
Joyce Wood, 76, of Westerville, Ohio, and formerly of Memphis, Tennessee and Findlay, passed away at 9:00 a.m. Sunday, July 24, 2022, at Mount Carmel St. Ann's Hospital, Westerville. She was born May 7, 1946, in Findlay, to the late Robert "Bob" and Ruth (Long) Moore. She married Donald "Don" Wood Jr., and he preceded her in death in October, 1983.
Joyce is survived by her son, Jon Wood of New Albany, Ohio; daughter, Whitney (Robert) Kessling of Westerville; and beloved grandchildren, Alexander Wood and Samantha Wood.
Joyce retired in 2008 from Findlay City Schools, where she was a Kindergarten teacher at Jefferson Elementary. She graduated from The University of Findlay and was a member of Alpha XI Delta sorority. She was a member of P.E.O. Club with several of her friends.
Mass of Christian burial will be 12 p.m. Friday, July 29, 2022, at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church, 750 Bright Road, Findlay, where visitation will be 11 a.m. - 12 p.m. prior to the service. Burial will be at Maple Grove Cemetery, Findlay.
Arrangements are being handled by COLDREN-CRATES FUNERAL HOME, Findlay.
Memorial contributions may be made to the family, in care of Whitney Kessling. Online condolences may be expressed at www.coldrencrates.com.

Joyce was an amazing kindergarten teacher to both of my boys who are now in their mid 20´s. They will never forget her and I will never forget her direct, humorous nature. My condolences to her family.
