Joseph Bayliff Obituary

Joseph Allen Joe Bayliff

Joseph Allen "Joe" Bayliff went to heaven Thursday, June 12, 2025, doing his favorite thing: riding his motorcycle. Joe was born in Ashland, Ohio, October 9, 1984, and was adopted into a loving household, the youngest son of Mark and Dinah (Cole) Bayliff.

On May 10, 2014, he married "his person", Amanda E. Crates. Mandie and Joe shared eleven wonderful years together, and they have two beautiful daughters, Raena Quinn Bayliff and Kendall Trinity Bayliff. He was also the best dad to Kellen Scott and Gabriel Reis Steinmetz.

Joe is also survived by a brother, Nathan (Sara) Bayliff; father and mother-in-law, Larry and Rindy Crates; brother and sister-in-law, Rich and Katie Kramer; four nieces, Zoie, Kenzie, Noah, and Ella; and a nephew, Braden.

Joe was a 2003 graduate of Allen East High School, where he was a stand-out athlete. He received his bachelor's degree in architecture from Bowling Green State University. Joe went on to work for Dave Roth for several years. In 2015, Joe and Mandie opened BayliffT Gym and Box, building a community of friends both within and outside the gym. They together bought Route 30 Harley-Davidson in 2018, and Joe worked as general manager and a whole lot more; he was Route 30. He loved being a dad. He loved anything and everything about the girls; they were his world. His charisma was enormous. It always filled the room. No part of life will ever be the same without him. If anything, Joe lived life to the fullest, and he was wild. Joe was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Jenera.

Please join us for a celebration of his life Sunday, June 22, 2025, at Route 30 Harley-Davidson, 350 Tarhe Trail, Upper Sandusky, OH 43351. Visitation will be from 11-3 p.m. Sunday, June 22, 2025, where service will begin at 3 p.m., with Pastor Jim Klausing and Tom Walker officiating. Burial will follow at St. Paul Lutheran Cemetery, with a motorcycle procession to the cemetery.

Memorials can be directed to Irish Iron Memorial Fund or the education fund for Raena and Kendall. The tremendous amount of love the family is being shown is unbelievable, and we thank you.

Mandie and your entire family, my heart goes out to you. Losing your soul mate is so very hard...I know. Now you focus on all the great things he brought to your life...and hang on tight to those memories. Keep him alive forever, by sharing his story. We can't change what happened, but we can control how we move forward. He would want to know that his family is happy and carrying on his legacy. I'm thinking of you Mandie and will always be here if you need to chat.

Our hearts, thoughts and prayers go out to Mandie and the kids. Joe was truly a good man, a great human being that made our world better. I will miss working on the gym equipment with you, I will miss your sense of humor, I will miss you. George Eliot was quoted as saying; "There is no despair so absolute as that which comes with the first moments of our first great sorrow." We weep for you and your family....and we weep for ourselves. May God hold all in his hands and give them comfort.
