Jose R. Arreguin

Jose R. Arreguin, 75, of Findlay, passed away at 1:43 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 31, 2024, at Birchaven Retirement Community.

He was born Aug. 30, 1949, in Edinburg, Texas, to Jose David and Maria Luz (Argueta) Arreguin. Jose married Angelita P. Pizana on May 1, 1976, at St. Michael Catholic Church, and she survives.

He is also survived by his children, Ricardo Jose (Jodie) Arreguin of Marysville and Regina Marie Arreguin of Findlay; grandchildren, Gabby, Miguel, Alaina, Maverick, Annabelle, and Aardon; and siblings, Rosenda Arreguin of Defiance, John (Elizabeth) Arreguin of Findlay, Lupe (Deena) Arreguin of Malinta, David (Anabel) Arreguin of Hamler, Janie (Robert) Ordaz of Weslaco, Texas, Ray (Carol) Arreguin of Findlay, Toni Noriega of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Fidel (Angie) Arreguin of Toledo, and Ruben (Valerie) Arreguin of Bowling Green.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Amelia Shawber, Beatrice Valdez, and Aurora San Miguel; and brothers, Robert Arreguin and Mike Arreguin.

Jose worked for H&R Block, Walmart, and retired from Marathon Oil Company.

Jose enjoyed helping others. He liked going to 50 North in Findlay and was involved in the St. Michael Catholic Christmas Bazaar. He was active in the Walmart City School Project, City Mission, Red Cross, United Way, and was a member of St. Michael Our Lady of Guadalupe Society.

Visitation for family and friends will be 1-5 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 8, 2024, at Kirkpatrick-Behnke Funeral Home. A Rosary will be prayed at 4:45 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Additional visitation will be 10 a.m. Monday, Sept. 9, 2024, until the time of Mass of Christian burial at 11 a.m. at St. Michael Catholic Church, 750 Bright Road, Findlay. Burial will be at the parish cemetery.
