John Martin Paul

John Martin Paul, 85, of Fostoria, passed away Monday, April 7, 2025, while at Bridge Hospice Care Center in Findlay.

He was born January 12, 1940, in Tiffin to Carl Frederick and Helen Katherine (Wuescher) Paul. His wife of 63 years, Janet (Weaver) Paul survives him, along with their son, Jamie Paul, of Toledo, and grand-dog "Patch".

He was preceded in death by his parents and a daughter, Jennifer Paul.

John was a 1958 Tiffin Columbian High School graduate, and he and Janet were married at EUB Church in Tiffin on August 13, 1961. He was a member of Hope Lutheran Church in Fostoria.

John had been a meat cutter for the former A & P grocery stores in Tiffin and Fostoria and had worked for Foodtown in Fostoria. In his leisure time, John enjoyed playing euchre and card games with his family. He was also an avid reader, often visiting the library for traditional hardbound books. More than anything, John enjoyed walking his dog. He will be remembered as a caring, loving husband and father.

Private services will be at Knollcrest Cemetery, Arcadia. Mann-Hare-Hoening Funeral Home, Fostoria has been entrusted with arrangements.
