John Boyles Obituary

John R. Boyles

John Robert Boyles, 69, of McComb, passed away Thursday, August 21, 2025, at Blanchard Valley Hospital.

He was born in Toledo, to Robert D. and Muriel Jean (Spitler) Boyles, June 19, 1956. In January 1978, John married Bonnie K. Fleming, and she survives.

John graduated from McComb High School and went on to attend Hobart School of Welding. He later became the proud owner and operator of Boyles Blacksmith Shop. John was employed by OH Materials for several years and then moved on to Grubb Construction, where he retired. He was a member of McComb Methodist Church. John was an avid Keno player and enjoyed going fishing. He was a huge fan of The Ohio State Buckeyes and Detroit Tigers. John had an innate ability to connect with people, never knowing a stranger, and he loved with all his heart. John was a quick wit and avid jokester; he never failed to make those around him laugh.

In addition to his wife, Bonnie, John is survived by his daughters, Mandy (Ray) Henley and Lana (Kevin Shannon) Boyles; 10 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; and his brother, Patrick Boyles.

John was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Muriel; brother, Michael Boyles; daughter, Jessica Jo Boyles; and great-grandson, Storm Micheal Rieman.
