Joe Renteria Obituary
Joe F. "Whopper" Renteria, 73, of Fostoria, passed away Monday, June 3, 2024, at Cleveland Clinic. He was born Aug. 3, 1950, in Progreso, Texas to Miguel & Aurora (Cardenas) Renteria Sr.
Joe is survived by daughters, Casandra Kreais & Audrey Linnel Renteria; brothers, Rafael (Maria) Renteria of Progreso, Texas, Miguel Renteria Jr. of Victoria, Texas, Amalia Renteria of Mercedes, Texas, Aurora (Juan) Lopez of Atlanta, Georgia, Lisa (Ed Galan) Renteria of Fostoria; two grandchildren & numerous nieces & nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Frank and Armando Renteria; and sisters Yolanda Cortez and Guadalupe Renteria.
Joe retired from Administration with Home Depot in Vero Beach, Florida. He graduated from Lakota High School in 1970 and was active in FFA. Joe enjoyed sports, hunting, and water rafting and was a crafter specializing in making dream catchers.
Memorial visitation will be 2-5 p.m. Saturday, June 8, 2024, at Harrold-Floriana Funeral Home, Fostoria, OH. Joe will be buried with his parents in Texas at a later date.
Memorials can be made to Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
