Jocelyn "Joy" Rosario Taylor
Jocelyn "Joy" Rosario Taylor, 60, passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 22, 2025. She was born to Leonardo Del Rosario and Leonarda Escubil. Jocelyn was preceded in death by her father and her beloved daughter, Jacquelyn Marchand.
A dedicated and hardworking woman, Joy spent over 27 years employed at St. Joe's, where she became more than just a coworker to many. She considered many of her colleagues as close friends and even family. In her most recent years, Joy found great fulfillment volunteering with the Pink Heals organization, dedicating her time to helping others.
Joy cherished the simple joys of life, spending time with her loved ones. She enjoyed dancing the night away, going to lunch and dinner with friends, and watching her beloved granddaughter, Sophia Yodelis, grow. She was excitedly anticipating the arrival of another grandchild in the near future.
Joy is survived by her mother, Leonarda Escubil; her daughter, Jennifer (Steve) Yodelis; her granddaughter, Sophia Yodelis; and the grandchild soon to arrive. She is also lovingly remembered by her siblings: Joselito Rosario, Arnel Rosario, Gina Del Rosario, Daisy Rosario, Belinda Rosario, and many nieces and nephews.
The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to all who offered their love and support throughout Joy's life. A celebration of life in her honor will be held on Sunday, March 9,2025 from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm at Cemeno's, 1630 Essington Rd in Joliet.
Joy will forever be remembered for her kindness, her laughter, and the warmth she brought to everyone she met. Her spirit will live on in the hearts of all who loved her.
