Joann Kay Warner

Joann Kay Warner, 83, of Findlay, passed away at 12:30 a.m. Friday, Oct. 14, 2022, at The Heritage.

She was born July 18, 1939, in Fostoria, to the late Edward and Mary (Russell) Burkmier. She married Danny D. Warner Sr. on June 15, 1957, and he preceded her in death March 15, 2019.

Joann is survived by her son, Danny (Lynn) Warner of rural Findlay; daughter, Darlene Kay Warner of Pensacola, Florida; sister, Judy Felker of Tennessee; grandchildren, Allen L. (Emily) Warner and Dustin J. (Carissa) Warner; and great-grandchildren, Cadence Benard, Danny Warner, and Cooper Dunn.

She was preceded in death by her brothers, Edward, William, and Robert Burkmier; sister, Beverly Hammond; and grandson, Danny Warner III.

Joann was the former manager of the Alice Shop. She was a former member of Findlay Women's Bowling League where she served as secretary and treasurer. Joann loved going to garage sales and spending time with her grandchildren. She also enjoyed crocheting and family get-togethers.

Visitation will be 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 18, 2022, at COLDREN-CRATES FUNERAL HOME, Findlay. Joann's funeral will be 1 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home with Pastor Richard Purvis officiating. Burial will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery.
