Jim Breyman Obituary
Jim Bob Breyman, 70, of Arcadia, passed away Friday, Dec. 22, 2023, at Bridge Hospice Care Center in Bowling Green.
He was born April 10, 1953, in Findlay, to Karl and Pauline (Davis) Breyman. He married Patricia Mellott on Jan. 13, 1973, and she preceded him in death in 2016.
Jim graduated from Arcadia High School. He worked at the Hancock County Sherriff's Department for 22 years, retiring as a lieutenant. He was also a member of Washington Township Fire Department for 45 years, currently serving as captain. Jim was a member of Flying Circuits, Mustang Club, and American Model Association, and especially loved model railroading and remote-controlled airplanes. He also liked going to dinner with his family and close friends.
Those left behind to cherish Jim's memory are his son, Ryan Breyman; sister-in-law, Loretta Whiting; special nieces, Sue (Bill) Rehm and Laura (Rob) Greer; and many other nieces and nephews.
He was also preceded in death by his parents; son, Jason Breyman; sister, Patty Switzer; brother, Pliny Breyman; and nephews, Scott Switzer and Rusty Breyman.
Visitation for friends will be 1-3 and 5-7 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 2, 2024, and 10 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 3, 2024, until the time of Jim's funeral at 11 a.m., all at HUFFORD FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 1500 Manor Hill Rd., Findlay, 419-422-1500. Pastor Deb Bame will preside. Interment will follow at Arcadia Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in Jim's name to Washington Township Fire Department, P.O. Box 265, Arcadia, Ohio, 44804, or Bridge Home Health and Hospice, 15100 Birchaven Ln., Findlay, Ohio, 45840.
