Jerry L. Sterling

Jerry L. Sterling, 74, of Findlay, passed away peacefully Sunday, July 14, 2024, surrounded by his loving family at his residence.

He was born Oct. 31, 1949, in Findlay, to Andrew and Vera Sterling. He married Debbi Neff and she survives.

Jerry was a 1967 graduate of Findlay High School. He was employed and retired from Ball Metal. Jerry was proud of his service in U.S. Army during Vietnam. Above all, Jerry enjoyed spending time with his family.

Those left to cherish his memories are his mother, Vera; wife, Debbi; sons, Scott (Nicole) Sterling of Marion, Ohio, and Brady (Rachel) Sterling of Marion, Indiana; daughters, Mindy Sterling of Perrysburg and Chaimi (Chris Vaughan) of Findlay; grandchildren, Preston Sterling, Gavyn Bloomfield, Graelynn Vaughan, Drake DeVerna, Jackson Sterling, Spencer Sterling, Anna Sterling, Alaina Ireland, and Rhett Sterling; sisters, Judy (Bud) Haas and Jeanna (Chris) Kolhoff, both of Findlay; and brother, John Sterling of Findlay.

Jerry was preceded in death by his father, Andrew; son, Shayn Sterling; and brother, Joe Sterling.

Visitation for friends and family will be 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. Friday, July 19, 2024, at HUFFORD FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 1500 Manor Hill Rd., Findlay, 419-422-1500. Jerry will be laid to rest alongside his son at Maple Grove Cemetery following visitation with Hancock County Veterans Memorial Squad conducting military honors.
