Jeremy Shillingburg Obituary
Jeremy Jay Shillingburg, 50, of Carey, passed away at 8:15 p.m. at Hospice Care Center, Findlay, after a battle with cancer.
Jeremy was born May 20, 1972, in Findlay, the son of Melvin L. Shillingburg Jr. and Barbara A. Coppler.
Jay was a 1991 graduate of Carey High School. Due to his health, Jay retired in 2020 after 25 years of service at GSW Manufacturing, Findlay. He was a life-long member of Christ Evangelical Lutheran Church, Carey. NASCAR was his sport of choice, with Chase Elliot and Kevin Harvick being his favorite drivers.
Jay will be missed by his mother, Barb, who survives in Carey; sister, Melissa K. "Missy" (Ken) Collet of Carey; and his "favorite" nephew, Ty Collet.
He was preceded in death by his father, Melvin.
Jeremy's graveside service will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 26, 2022, at Spring Grove Cemetery, Carey, with the Rev. William Schultz officiating.
Memorial contributions may be made to Bridge Home Health and Hospice and sent to the funeral home.
