Jeffrey P. Stephens

Jeffrey P. Stephens, 70, of Arlington, beloved father, grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully at home Saturday, Oct. 12, 2024. His selfless love and unwavering dedication inspired countless memories, touching the lives of all who knew him.

Born Jan. 14, 1954, in Findlay, Jeff grew up on Carnahan, attended McKinley, Central, and graduated from Findlay High School in 1972. Later, he married Pam Oman, the mother of his daughters. He retired from Graham Packaging, where he formed lasting friendships.

Jeff's greatest joy came from his family. As a devoted single father, he made his children, Nicole (Doug Hindall) Stephens of Findlay and Heather (Michael) Oates of Fort Mohave, Arizona, feel loved and special. His grandchildren, Paige, Marcus, Lucas, Audr, and Ethan, brought him immense happiness. He cherished every moment spent with them.

Preceding him in death were his parents, Paul Stephens and L. Marcine (Wells) Smith; and a brother, Gary Stephens.

His interests included collecting antiques, cartoon glasses, coins, and cards, selling and buying at flea markets and on eBay, and enthusiastically supporting Ohio State Buckeyes and Cleveland Browns football. He proudly rooted for Bowling Green State University, his daughter's alma mater. Jeff's legacy extends beyond his immediate family. His kindness, listening ear, and willingness to help made him a cherished friend to many.

A visitation will be from 10-1 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 4, 2024, at COLDREN-CRATES FUNERAL HOME, Findlay. His funeral services will be at 1 p.m. at the funeral home Monday, with Marianne Higley officiating. Burial will follow at Knollcrest Gardens, east of Findlay.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
