Janet A. Daniels

Janet Ann Smith Daniels, 83, of Findlay, passed away peacefully Friday, Sept. 8, 2023, at The Heritage.

She was born Aug. 28, 1940, in Alexandria, Virginia, to Frank and Nell (Hoflich) Smith. She married William M. "Bill" Daniels on March 29, 1986.

Those left behind to cherish Janet's memory are her son, W. Randy (Debbie) Daniels; grandchildren, W. Brandon (Sonja) Daniels and Lauren (Darrin) Vensil; and great-grandchildren, Serena Daniels, Carson Daniels, Vanessa Daniels, Benjamin Vensil, and Owen Vensil.

Janet was preceded in death by her parents; and husband.

Janet worked as a chemical lab assistant at Ashland Oil Company until she retired early to enjoy married life with her husband, Bill. She and Bill moved to Florida in 2001 and eventually settled in Tavares where she was an active member of Adventure Christian Church. She volunteered her time each week to help with church finances and to work several shifts at the Adventure Thrift Center, which benefited the church's early childhood education ministry. She had a passion for mentorship and strengthening spiritual bonds with others, from young mothers to other widows. Janet enjoyed music and throughout her life she participated in choirs and bell choirs. In her spare time, she enjoyed golf and completing jigsaw puzzles.

Janet's private service will be at HUFFORD FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 1500 Manor Hill Rd., Findlay, 419-422-1500.

Memorial contributions in Janet's name can be made to First Church of the Nazarene, 2501 Broad Ave., Findlay, Ohio, 45840.
