Janelle Conley Obituary

Janelle K. Conley

Janelle K. Conley, 64, of Carey, passed away at 8:39 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 27, 2022, at her residence with her family by her side.

Janelle was born May 4, 1958, in Upper Sandusky, the daughter of Donald L. and Beatrice (Longworth) Hotelling. Janelle married Kenny R. Conley on Oct. 22, 1973, in Clintwood, West Virginia.

Janelle is survived by her husband; six children, Michele (Michael) Fraley of Carey, Kenny Joe (Misty) Conley of Paintsville, Kentucky, Shane Conley of Carey, Summer (Steven Lumpkins) Conley of Paintsville, Kentucky, Chase Conley of Carey, and Dakota Conley of Lewisburg, Ohio; 14 grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; and four siblings, Sherry (James) Puchta of Findlay, Candy (Charles) Conley of Carey, Donald (Cindy) Hotelling of Vanlue, and Rick Hotelling of Carey.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and two sisters, Jean Tackett and Jackie Conley.

A homemaker, Janelle loved taking care of her family. She was always there for any of them unconditionally. Nothing was more important than family, especially the grandchildren.

Janelle was a big-time crafter. Hobby Lobby will miss her. She also loved cooking for her family. Her "made with love" baked beans and pecan pies were the best.

Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. Friday, Dec. 30, 2022, at Stombaugh-Batton Funeral Home, Carey.

Janelle's funeral will be 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 31, 2022, at the funeral home with Pastor Larry Nunley officiating. There will be no burial.

Memorial contributions may be made the funeral home to assist the family with expenses.
