Jane A. Clinger

Jane A. Clinger, 92, of Findlay, passed away Monday, Sept. 18, 2023, at Blanchard Valley Hospital.

She was born March 18, 1931, in Arlington, the daughter of Carl Cramer and Twila (Trovinger) Porter. She married Gordon Clinger on Aug. 26, 1949, he survives in Findlay and they just recently celebrated 74 years of marriage. Her brother, William Porter of Tiffin, also survives. Her sister, June Anderson, preceded her in death.

Jane was blessed with six children, Sandra Fuller of Locust Grove, Georgia, Susan (Pat) Galbraith of Brunswick, Georgia, David (Liz) Clinger of Findlay, Shelley (Mike) Starr of Findlay, Shirley (Tim) Cardwell of Houston, Texas, and Sally Zeller of Vandalia.

Jane's grandchildren are Jason Starr, Kimberly Nieder, David Clinger, Cameron Clinger, Tim Starr, Travis Starr, Trever Starr, Amy O'Neil, Michael Grossestreuer, Diane O'Donnell, Laura Winzig, Nicholas Bish, Melanie Mason, and April Bish. Jane's great-grandchildren are Forrest Starr, Jordan Osborne, Hannah Adams, Garrett Adams, Chance Nieder, Brooke Nieder, Dailyn Clinger, Conrad Clinger, Camery Clinger, Sydnie Starr, Lundin Starr, Haidyn Thacker, Dylann Thacker, Leah Starr, Lainy Starr, Noah Grossestreuer, Liam Grossestreuer, Aiden Grossestreuer, Gabriel O'Donnell, Tyler O'Neil, Paige Eisaman, Cole Bish, Erin Hedglin, and Isaiah Bish. Great-grandchildren who preceded her in death are Kyle Clinger, Elijah Treft, and Abigail O'Donnell. Jane's great-great-grandchildren are Isabella Rodriguez and Maria Rodriguez.

Jane was a member of Good Hope Lutheran Church and sang in the choir. She graduated from Arlington High School in 1949. She was a member of Mothers of Twins Club. Jane was a homemaker and loved cooking. She enjoyed her trips with her brother to San Diego, California, to visit her niece, Deb Babylon. She also loved visiting her children, going to the casino each year, and going to the Florida beaches. She is very thankful for all the help she received from local family members.

The family would like to extend a sincere thank you to Kelly Shoffner, her caregiver, the Heritage staff and Palliative Care for making her days more comfortable.

Per her request, there will be no services at this time.

In lieu of flowers, Jane specifically requested donations to The City Mission in her memory.
