The most sweetest, kindest man ever. I worked at B&K way back when, best time ever. I remember one day a family car came in. I proceeded to take their order when the gentle man in the car said he didn't want me to take their order, that he wanted a white girl. I told Jim what he said, and he ran out and told them to leave and to never come back. He always had my back. RIP my gentle man. All my love, Diane

I worked for Jim at B & K the summer of 1972. I was 15 and lied about my age to get the job. When I turned 16 that summer and blurted out that it was my 16th birthday, Jim just winked and nodded. He knew all along.

I worked my rear off there because he was such a great boss. A wonderful person.

I'll never forget being hired on to help close down the rootbeer stand, & close down the pool. Especially the year that the drain on the pool was clogged. Long story short, I wound up with all kinds of debris & dirt all over me. Still chuckle about that, He was a great first boss, & sorry for your whole family's loss.
