James W. Husted

James Watson Husted, 64, of Arcadia, passed away June 12, 2025, at Blanchard Valley Hospital.

He was born July 6, 1960, in Hicksville, to Hugh Carlton and Lilli (Wurth) Husted Jr. James married Susan Sullenberger on January 19, 2000.

James was a graduate of Hicksville High School. He completed his associate degree at Ohio Diesel Technical Institute. He then joined Garner Trucking, where he dedicated 37 years of service in maintenance until his retirement. James was also past chairman of Ohio Trucking Maintenance Council, past member of Technology and Maintenance Council, and (Tag) Technology Advisory Group. James held the position of director of maintenance at Garner Trucking and greatly enjoyed his role.

He enjoyed playing golf, boating, and attending car shows. James was always ready to take on various home improvement projects. His love for adventure led James to arrange a ride for the family on the Goodyear Blimp. James was a HUGE Ohio State Buckeye fan. GO BUCKS!!

James is survived by his loving wife, Susan; his son, Andrew Husted of Findlay; sister, Carmen Fritz of Whitehouse; brother, Glen Husted of Ocoee, Florida; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by both parents; and sister, Heidi A. Cottrell.

James was a rock solid, loving husband and dad who would do anything he could for his family. We love him and will miss him every day. Rest easy dear one.
