Herma Ward Obituary
Herma Lee Ward, 94, of Findlay, passed away Saturday, Aug. 6, 2022, in Stuart, Florida.
She was born Nov. 12, 1927, in Barnetts Creek, Kentucky, to Johnnie and Mattie (Lemasters) Davis. Herma married Alcus Ward on Nov. 30, 1946.
She is survived by Garnetta Sue (Robert Rubin) Ward of Stuart, Florida, and and Don (Penny) Ward of Ormond Beach, Florida; four grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; brother-in-law, Douglas (Fern) Ward of Denver, Kentucky; and sisters-in-law, Shelby Jean Blair of Dola and Neva Lee Conely of Barnetts Creek, Kentucky.
She was preceded in death by her sisters, Helen Picklesimer, Minerva Pelphrey, and Ella Frances Giordano.
An active member of Stoney Ridge United Baptist Church, Herma was a very caring and loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She enjoyed gardening and cooking her famous fried chicken for friends and family.
Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Friday, Aug. 12, 2022, at Jones Preston Funeral Home in Paintsville, Kentucky.
Herma's funeral will be Saturday, Aug. 13, 2022, at the funeral home. Internment will follow at Johnson County Memorial Cemetery in Staffordsville, Kentucky.
Memorials contributions can be made in memory of Herma Ward to Stoney Ridge United Baptist Church, 901 Ohio 568, Carey, Ohio, 43316.
