Grace Sherman Obituary
Grace Louise (Peters) Sherman, 97, passed away at 9:35 p.m. Wednesday, March 22, 2023, at Birchaven Heights.
Grace was born Oct. 1, 1925, in Biglick Township, Hancock County, to the late J. Wilber and Ova (Hartman) Peters.
Grace married James Sherman on July 27, 1946, and he passed away Dec. 31, 1992. Grace was a 1943 graduate of Arcadia High School and was a homemaker. She attended Enon Valley Presbyterian Church and was a member of Vanlue Garden Club. In her spare time, Grace loved flowers and to spend time gardening. She was a devoted Ohio State Buckeye fan, loving both the basketball and football teams.
Grace is survived by a son, John (Farrah) Sherman of rural Findlay; sisters, Gertrude Gingrich of Findlay and Sharyn Sheehan of Sarasota, Florida; grandchildren, Josh J. Sherman, Jeremiah (Suuki) Sherman, Jessica J. (Chris) Collier, and Gavin Montgomery; and great-grandchildren, Alexander Sherman, Malakai Sherman, and Maxwell Collier.
In addition to her parents, Grace was preceded in death by a daughter, Sandy Sherman; brother, Gerald Marvin Peters; sisters, Doris Basinger and Nana Lee; and great-grandchild, Benjamin Collier.
Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Monday, March 27, 2023, at Union Cemetery, West Independence, with Pastor Tom Everett officiating.
COLDREN-CRATES FUNERAL HOME, 205 West Sandusky Street, Findlay, has been entrusted with her care.

John & family, I met Grace a number of years back when I joined the Garden Club. We had a good many times of laughing together along with a few others till we were wiping our eyes. She was a lady I'll always remember and smile when doing so. Praying for all of you.
