Glenn "Captain" L. Lemire

Glenn "Captain" Leo Lemire, 63, of Arlington, Ohio, passed away at 1:26 a.m. Saturday, August 30, 2025, at Blanchard Valley Hospital in Findlay.

He was born March 9, 1962, in Upper Sandusky, to R. Norman and Roxanna M. (McCarley) Lemire. On September 27, 1986, in Findlay, he married Jean Ann (Weber) Lemire, who survives him. Also surviving are daughter, Anne Marie (Dale) Nolan of Taipei, Taiwan; sons, Eric Lemire of Bellevue, Nebraska, Samuel Lemire of Detroit, Michigan, and Timothy (Mikayla) Lemire of Findlay; daughter, Tracy Lemire of Arlington; son, Trevor Lemire of Kaiserslautern, Germany; and daughter, Vanessa Lemire of Arlington; seven grandchildren, Raelynne Nolan, Rylee Nolan, Renae Nolan, Jackson Lemire, Maxwell Lemire, Wyatt Lemire, and Matt Lemire; sisters, Laura Walker and Karen Shank; and brother, Michael Lemire.

He is preceded in death by his parents and brother, John Lemire.

He was a 1980 graduate of Vanlue High School. A veteran of the United States Army, Glenn proudly served his country in the 14th Engineering Battalion as a construction equipment operator.

He retired from Cooper Tire Mfg Co. in Findlay, where he worked as a tire builder for 35 years. He attended Redeemer Covenant Church in Arlington. Glenn was a man of many hobbies. His favorite pastimes included fishing, beekeeping, birdwatching and grilling out. A true homesteader, he strived to live a life of self-sufficiency. He had volunteered as a leader for Trail Life USA and Cub Scouts for several years. Above everything else, he treasured the time spent with his family.

Funeral rites are scheduled to begin at 3 p.m. Saturday, September 6, 2025, at Coldren-Crates Funeral Home, 205 W. Sandusky St., Findlay. Military funeral honors will be conducted at the funeral home immediately following services. His final resting place is Maple Grove Cemetery, Findlay.

Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Friday, September 5, 2025, and from 1-3 p.m. Saturday.

Memorial contribu-tions may be directed to either City Mission, 510 W. Main Cross St., Findlay or SkateMin Asia.
