Oh my friend, I sure will miss you. I learned a lot about kindness, patience, humor and joie de vivre from Frank.
I didn´t have to always understand his special spoken language... because he spoke a unique love-laughter language that didn´t need words, even in spite of all he was dealing with.
I miss his and Nan´s special presence and friendship, but I was really blessed to know both of them. I´m sure Frank is singing a rousing round of, "Guglielmeeee, Guglielmeeee " in heaven!

I had the privilege of meeting Frank at Western Reserve Academy in Hudson, Ohio where our children went to school.
His sons, Andrew, Chris and Philip played hockey with my son, Pat on the Varsity .
His daughter, Annie, was a team assistant. My daughter, Kara, also went to WRA.

Frank and his family were great people and always enjoyed the games and road trips.
My condolences are with all of you during these difficult times.
Frank.....rest in peace.

I knew Frank from my volunteer work in the community. One day Frank called me and asked..."Have you ever thought about being a banker?". I said..."Frank...I hate math!!". He said... come see me! He said that banking was and should be all about people and that he wanted to gather the best people-people he could find and turn them into bankers. He hired me, Denise (Halliday) Thomas, Kim Cameron and Deb Harless...and did exactly what he said he would do...turned us all into bankers who loved their jobs! I ended up in banking for 29 years because of Frank. A great human!

In life you will be met with all kinds of people, but every now and then, life will mess with you & reward you with people like Frank G., you will laugh, you will cry, you will be Happy and sometimes upset, but most importantly you will Love!, this man taught me many things in a short period of time & if you didn't learn anything from him, let me tell you... you missed out! Hasta la vista Mr.Frank!

My sincerest condolences to all of Frank´s family & friends. As previously stated, Frank was one of a kind. His infectious smile, his palpable zest for life, and the kindness he permeated any time our paths crossed will be something I will never forget. I only had the pleasure of seeing Frank at his cottage at Lake Erie, as neighbors, and random outings in Findlay. But seeing him at the lake on his Segway, always with an endearing presence, that emitted a sense of joy and happiness that I wish could be bottled up and sold. Few people can leave you with such a lasting impression from just a handful of interactions, but Frank´s genuineness and lightheartedness will stick with me forever. Prayers to his family & friends during this emotional time.

I worked with Frank on several benefits for the Hancock Co. Sheriff's office including co-chairing a Ho-Down with him. Can't imagine working with a better mentor and friend. RIP old buddy. Scott B.

After a party at FCC Frank and I were one of the last ones leaving. There was a tree of crab claws that had about 20 left. We both wrapped them in napkins and stuffed them in our coat pockets. I forgot about them and a couple weeks later......well my coat was ruined and my coat closet smelled terrible. Not sure if Frank ate his or had the same stinky experience as me!! Always had a great time with Frank! Sharon Rooney

It's so sad to hear that Frank is gone, and so young. He was a great friend, and a great associate, teaching guitar at the CFMC. He had a tremendous sense of humor, and we all were sad years ago when Frank moved up to Findlay. I'm sure that he and his family had many close friends up there who will miss Frank as we do. Rest in peace, dear friend.

Frank was an extraordinary man, always kind, always willing to help with anything you needed. I worked with him for many years and he and Ann were two of my favorite people. RIP Frank. You will be missed.

When Frank asked you how you were doing ; it wasn´t perfunctory . He was earnestly and authentically interested in your well being . And
he would discuss it with you preferably over a nice bottle of Italian red.

Frank was truly one of a kind - generous, funny, articulate, thoughtful, cultured, and effortlessly fun-loving at his core. Frank´s unique blend of kindness and humor was rare, and it meant the world to everyone fortunate enough to know him.
The Gug family, and Frank himself, has had a profound influence on my life, enriching it with meaning and joy in ways I´m deeply grateful for. The stories from those years are endless and unforgettable - some almost unbelievable - and many of the best ones included Frank. Those moments have become part of the lore of an era, and I still look back on them with happiness and gratitude.
I feel incredibly lucky to have spent my formative teenage years looking up to such a genuinely good human. His passion for life and joy was special, and I hope to carry those qualities forward in my own life. He is deeply loved and will be missed dearly.

Rest in peace Mr G. I´ll always remember going to the Pits and rowing out to go fishing with you and you telling me I was the best rower because I didn´t scare the fish.

In loving memory of a wonderful friend and mentor who welcomed me to the community as the CEO of the Findlay YMCA in 1994. His leadership to the YMCA and his friendship will be treasured and never forgotten.
