Elizabeth Patton Obituary

Elizabeth A. Patton

Elizabeth Ann Patton, 74, lovingly known as Liz, was a caring mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, wife, and a great friend to many; she peacefully passed away the night of Sunday, June 22, 2025.

Born March 22, 1951, as the oldest of five children to Kenneth and Barbara (Minder) Launder, Liz grew up in Arlington, Ohio, graduating from Arlington High School in May 1969.

Liz then married Danny Kay Patton on October 19, 1969, to whom she was married for 37 years until his passing in 2006. She raised her four children, Stacey, Billy (Michelle), Kern (Kim), and Danny Kenneth, and lived in and around Arlington before settling down in the home on Main Street in 1982 for over 40 years.

Liz worked as a homemaker, a childcare provider, and an associate at Sears and spent her final years before retirement working at the Kroger store on the South Side of Findlay, where many saw her smiling face behind a register and making more lifelong friends.

Liz spent her final years living with her dear friends, Tom and Kathy Watkins.

Liz loved to spend time with and was proudest of her grandkids, Sydney (Jake), Danielle, Samantha, Paige, Charles, Connor, Patrick, Kiel, and Brooke; and great-grandchildren, Penelope, Waylon, Hayden, Kase, Kashton, and Amelia.

Liz was preceded in death by her brothers, Herb and Roy Launder.

She is survived by her brother, Harry (Ann) Launder; and a sister, Becky (Tom) Smith.

Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Friday, June 27, 2025, at CRATES FUNERAL HOME, Arlington. Her funeral service will begin at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 28, 2025, at Good Hope Lutheran Church, Arlington, where family will receive friends from 10 a.m. Saturday until time of service. Pastor Steve Ramsey will officiate. Private burial will take place at a later date.

My prayers are with the family! We worked together at Sears! She always was so positive and always showed pics of her grandkids when we ran into one another!
