Dorothy Renfer Obituary
Dorothy E. Renfer, 100, of Cygnet, died at 8:30 p.m. Friday, Aug. 2, 2024, at Briar Hill Health Campus, North Baltimore.
She was born April 25, 1924, in Malcolm, Minnesota, to Sam and Louise (Knutson) Ness. She married Charles Renfer on Dec. 26, 1951, in Angola, Indiana, and he preceded her in death Nov. 20, 2005.
Dorothy graduated from Lincoln High School in Thief River Falls, Minnesota and came to Ohio in 1944. She worked at DWG Cigar Company and Equity Meats, retiring in 1986 after 42 years.
Dorothy is survived by two nieces, Dale (Larry) Jettinghoff of Delphos and Julie (Les) Trandem of Thief River Falls, Minnesota; and nephew, Wayne (Mary) Ness of Lewes, Delawaree.
She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Selmer, Clifford, and Harvey Ness; sisters-in-law, Florence Ness, Dorothy Ness, and Fay Ness; niece, Linda (Ed) Bailey; and nephew, Donald Ness.
Dorothy enjoyed working picture puzzles and gardening with her husband.
Dorothy's graveside service will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 7, 2024, at New Maplewood Cemetery, North Baltimore.
Arrangements are being handled by SMITH-CRATES FUNERAL HOME, North Baltimore.

Charles and Dorothy Renfer were our neighbors.. very kind and generous, Charles and Dorothy would share their garden harvest. Gary would be there to help when asked. Gary even help Charles with his mom sometimes too. We have been friends for some time. Dorothy you can now be with Charles and enjoy good time again. Love your friend Gary and Anne Eishen. May god bless you both.
