Dennis Sherman Obituary
Dennis P. Sherman, 72, of Fostoria, passed away Wednesday, Sept. 18, 2024, in Tiffin. He was born in Findlay April 15, 1952 to Donna and Larry Sherman. After a brief marriage to Diane Pool, they divorced and he then married Mary Baker and they later divorced.
Dennis retired from Roppe Rubber, Fostoria. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1969 to 1975, earning the rank of E3 Seaman on the USS Neosho during the Vietnam Era. He was a member of the Tri-County Cruisers Car Club, an avid car show enthusiast, and a collector of Coca-Cola memorabilia. He enjoyed his various trips to Las Vegas and Amish Country. More than anything, he enjoyed spending time with his pup, Lindy.
Dennis is survived by his father, Larry Sherman; daughters, Holly (Bryon) Breitigam and Angie (Shawn) Smith; stepchildren, Jamie Taylor and Kris (Chuck) Grine; brothers, Larry, Danny and Jimmy Sherman; sisters, Cindy Lantz, Cathy Mills and Merry Gase; along with ten grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren, with 1 more on the way; and his special pup, Lindy.
Dennis is preceded in death by his mother, Donna; and his brother, Terry Sherman.
Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Friday, Sept. 20, 2024, at Harrold-Floriana Funeral Home, 301 W. Tiffin St., Fostoria, Ohio 44830. At 7 p.m., a small prayer service by Pastor Jerry Copeland will be at the funeral home with military honors by United Veterans of Fostoria.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hancock County Humane Society or Seneca County Humane Society.

Denny was a wonderful neighbor. We missed him when he divorced and moved. He was such a kind, loving man. We kept in contact and he thanked me for being his friend. I will miss him a lot. Hoping a Mary follows through with his wishes for Lindy, who he enjoyed thoroughly.

My thoughts and prayers go out to his family. I worked with Denny at Roppe for many years, such a good man, always smiling. We just chatted recently on Facebook, we were hoping to get together. RIP, my friend
