Debra Sue Keeler

Debra Sue "Deb" Keeler (Hovest), 55, passed away Wednesday, Aug. 23, 2023, at Blanchard Valley Hospital, Findlay.

She was born April 4, 1968, in Lima, to Melvin and Mary Janet (Schulte) Hovest.

Deb married William Keeler on June 16, 1990, and he survives. They spent 33 loving years together. They enjoyed traveling, camping, and riding motorcycles.

Deb is also survived by a daughter, Amber (Garrett) Harkness of Rockport; stepson, Keith Keeler of Jenera; sister, Diane (Steve) Shulaw of Elida; three brothers, Dan (Cathy) Hovest of Columbus Grove, Don (Lisa) Hovest of Columbus Grove, and Doug (Jennifer) Hovest of Virginia; brother-in-law, Brian Keeler of Bluffton; five grandchildren, Paige, Kyleigh, Brent, Khloe, and Lilly; and father-in-law, William Keeler. Deb was also loved and treasured by a network of many friends and family.

She was preceded in death by her father, Melvin; brother, Roger; nephew, Tyler; sister-in-law, Brenda; brother-in-law, Brent; and mother-in-law, Laura Keeler.

She retired from Hearthside Food Solution (formerly Consolidated Biscuit Company) where she worked for 35 years. She was a 1965 graduate of Ottawa-Glandorf High School and attended Owens Community College.

During the summer, Deb enjoyed camping, fishing, and traveling. Her hobbies included photography, gardening, reading, and scrapbooking. She loved spending time with her family and friends and playing cards with the gang. Her most cherished moments were spending time with her "girls," Paige, Onna, and Carly.

Visitation will be 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Friday, Aug. 25, 2023, at Kirkpatrick-Behnke Funeral Home, 500 Lima Avenue, Findlay, Ohio, 45840. Deb's funeral will be 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 26, 2023, at the funeral home with the Rev. Ruth Whitaker officiating.
